STRING ORCHESTRA OF THE MUSICAL SOCIETY OF ALZIRA

 

In 1974 and as a result of the existing restlessness so that the students could complete its formation is created the String Orchestra . It is created like necessary instrument of education of the students and like result of the policy of implantation in our Musical Society of the stringed instruments.

The professionals are already many who have formed in this orchestra and which they collaborate assiduously in her.

The String Orchestra is formed by about 40 students of the School of Music and who within his curriculum of studies have the opportunity to participate in the same one and to share lectern with professional musicians, that causes that their evolution and participation are more beneficial.

The repertoire of the Orchestra includes from Renaissance music, happening through barroca and classic, arriving at the contemporary. The formation basic is the Orchestra of cords, seeing itself extended with instrumentalist of wind and percussion, members of the Symphonic Band of the Society, when the repertoire demands it. In numerous occasions they participate with the orchestra important solistas, as Francisco Lluch (Contrabass), Carolina Lluch (Flute), Eustasio Enguix (Violin), Juan Manuel Ortega (Violin), Guillermo Ortega (Violin), Joan Furió (Violin), Santiago Ríos (Fagot) y Bernat Ríos (Horn).

The Orchestra play concerts in many cities of our community, emphasizing the made ones in Enguera, Finestrat, Jávea, Santa Pola, Xátiva, Jarafuel, València, etc.. Also it participates in the campaigns organized by the Consellería and the Delegation of Valencia within the campaign of the SARC.

It emphasizes the pedagogical paper that it carries out in his city, making numerous didactic concerts directed to the educative centers.

The String Orchestra of the Musical Society from Alzira, has had as directors to Francisco Hernandez Guirado and Ramón Herreros García.

At the present his Director is Àngel Crespo García, artistic director of the Musical Society.
